Teresa Giudice In Prison: Commissary List From Danbury Prison Revealed

Teresa Giudice is in prison, and the commissary list from Danbury (once home to Lauryn Hill) has been uncovered by TMZ. While you might think that The Real Housewives Of New Jersey star will be eating overcooked meat and browning lettuce, she will actually be able to eat some decent meals. She is allowed to spend $320 a week on items at commissary, which range from beauty products to Oreo cookies.

“There’s plenty she can buy to pass the time, including MP3 players w/ Skullcandy earbuds. She can also buy make-up and cover up those zits with acne cream. And forget sandpaper to clean yourself… she can buy Charmin, baby! And for those lingering smells, she can purchase fragrance oils,” reports TMZ.

Teresa Giudice reported the Danbury just before 3 a.m. on Monday morning. According to E! News, her lawyer made arrangements to have her check in seven hours earlier than expected. This could have been to thwart the media, who would have undoubtedly been waiting to snap a photo of her, and get a statement from whomever she was with.

“She was ready. Teresa is a very strong woman. She won’t have any problems in there. When we arrived at Danbury, everyone we encountered was extremely courteous and respectful,” said her attorney.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Teresa’s husband, Joe Giudice, did not go with his wife when she turned herself in this morning. She was taken from her home in New Jersey, and driven to Connecticut where she will spend the next several months. As a mother of four, being away from her children will likely be the hardest part of this change.

Gia, 13, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 8, and Audriana, 4, will be staying with their dad, and will be getting a lot of help from family and friends. It’s not going to be easy for the children, a couple of whom don’t even understand what’s going on. There have been reports that Teresa and Joe’s youngest daughters were told that their mom was going away to write a book about prison — and that may not be a complete lie. There has been some speculation that Teresa might actually write a book about her life behind bars.

As far as life after prison, there are rumors that Bravo will invite Teresa back to film RHONJ. In fact, there have even been some rumors about the network putting off the next season, and waiting for Teresa’s return. For now, however, she needs to just take things one day at a time.

Teresa Giudice and her husband, Joe, pleaded guilty to federal fraud charges. Once Teresa completes her time in jail, her husband will report to serve 41 months.
