Jennifer Aniston Says She Doesn’t Find Divorce To Brad Pitt ‘Painful’

Who can ever forget about Jennifer Aniston’s marriage to Brad Pitt? Before there was “Brangelina,” Pitt was married to Friends star Jennifer Aniston. However, their relationship didn’t work, and the two eventually got divorced. Pitt then started going out with his Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-star, Angelina Jolie. It seems that both Pitt and Aniston have now moved on. Brad is now raising a family with Jolie, whom he married last year. Aniston, on the other hand, is now engaged to actor Justin Theroux.

In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Aniston talked about her split with Pitt.

Reporter Lee Cowan asked, “The fact that it still follows you around—I mean, I’m divorced. It’s gotta be painful. I mean, I don’t like it when people bring it up. But people still do, right?”

Aniston candidly answered, “I don’t find it painful, though. I think it’s a narrative that follows you because it’s an interesting headline. It’s more of a media-driven topic.”

When asked if whether she and Brad still talk, Aniston answered, “We’ve exchanged good wishes and all that sort of stuff to each other, but not a constant thing. I mean, do you talk to your ex-wife?”

Aniston also dished about her relationship with Theroux and how they’re not letting the media get to them.

“[I] just don’t pay attention,” she says in the interview. “I think I used to really, there was a period where I was hell-bent on saying, ‘That’s not true, that’s not right, that’s not fair.’ And now I just think you have to let it roll off your back and you realize, I think everyone knows it’s all B.S. and like soap opera on paper.”

Aniston added, “The main thing is to try to just keep refocusing back on what you know is true and what makes you guys happy. We know what our truth is.”

Aniston and Theroux have been engaged since 2012. Theroux recently starred in the HBO series The Leftovers, while Aniston has been getting rave reviews for her role in the indie drama Cake.

There is already talk of Aniston winning awards for her work in the film, which was made with a modest budget.

Aniston tells CBS, “We were a little teeny, weensy movie made for four dollars and we poured our hearts into it and everyone worked so hard, so that this is happening on top of that, it’s just like a huge giant juicy cherry on top.”
