Vladimir Putin ‘Date Raped’ Obama, Retired Military Colonel Claims [Video]

Vladimir Putin is outsmarting of President Obama on foreign policy to the extent of figuratively date-raping him, according to retired U.S. Army Lt. Colonel Ralph Peters.

A Fox News contributor and consistent Obama critic, Peters was responding to an interview that Obama recently gave to NPR, in which Obama insisted that the U.S. and its European allies now have the upper hand on the Russian president (who some have even likened to a James Bond villain) particularly now that the country’s economy has hit the skids.

“Today, I’d sense that at least outside of Russia, maybe some people are thinking what Putin did [in Crimea] wasn’t so smart,” the president insisted to NPR.

The softball NPR interview, according to Peters, was equivalent to how Russia’s state-run media might kowtow to Putin, however.

Peters previously opined that Vladimir Putin is sort of an Al Sharpton with nukes.

In a previous interview with CNN’s Candy Crowley, Obama similarly declared that Putin isn’t really a mastermind.

“There was a spate of stories about how [Putin] is the chess master and outmaneuvering the West and outmaneuvering Mr. Obama and this and that and the other. And right now, he’s presiding over the collapse of his currency, a major financial crisis and a huge economic contraction. That doesn’t sound like somebody who has rolled me or the United States of America.”

A former KGB agent who enjoys near-dictatorial powers, Vladimir Putin has become a major player on the world stage for among other things annexing Crimea (and perhaps eventually all of Ukraine) and last year stopping Obama from bombing Syria, a military action that most of Congress and the American public also opposed.

As part of his punditry, Col. Peters has continually denounced the Obama administration for its ineffective diplomatic efforts to preventing Iran from weaponizing its nuclear program. Peters scolded the president for articulating the term “strategic patience” in the NPR interview, which in Peters’ analysis is code for doing nothing and not acting when it’s time to act against overseas security threats. Back in April, Peters even claimed that comparing Obama to British Prime Minister and Hitler appeaser Neville Chamberlain was unfair… to Chamberlain.

Other critics have assailed the Obama administration for hostility to traditional allies such as Canada and Israel while granting deference to countries presided over by despotic rulers.

Although the Russian economy is tanking, Col. Peters maintained in a Fox News appearance that with an 80 percent approval rating, Putin’s power base is secure, while Obama’s foreign policy is unrequited.

“… President Obama has mastered the art of praising himself for his failures … Putin is going to be czar of Russia long after Obama has left office to play golf with the one percent he is always attacking… I’ll put it bluntly… Obama thinks he can romance Cuba, he wants to romance Iran … he tried to romance Putin, and he got date raped. This is a president who is astonishingly willfully naive…the strategic landscape from Nigeria to Pakistan, from Russia to Venezuela, is almost immeasurably worse than it was when Obama took office…”

Separately, as the Inquisitr previously reported, rumors have circulated that Putin is suffering from either cancer of the spine or of the pancreas, since denied by Kremlin officials. Since he ascended to the Russian presidency, Putin has carefully cultivated a macho image as an outdoorsman and a martial artist.

Do you think it’s fair or unfair/inappropriate to use the term date rape when it comes to the interaction between Vladimir Putin and Barack Obama over, as it were, international relations?
