‘Millionaire Matchmaker’ Canceled? Patti Stanger Talks Spinoff

Is Millionaire Matchmaker Season 8 the show’s final series? According to a new report, it could be.

“Patti knows Millionaire Matchmaker can’t go on forever, and will end,” a source told Radar Online on January 2. “It’s just a matter of when and on what terms. If Bravo came to Patti and said the show wasn’t being renewed, she would be absolutely fine with it. Before Millionaire Matchmaker, Patti was a successful businesswoman, and that will continue after.”

“Patti’s identity isn’t based on Millionaire Matchmaker,” the source continued. “She has people pitching other lucrative offers to her all the time. Don’t ever worry about Patti, she always lands on her feet.”

Earlier this week, in an interview with OK! Magazine, Stanger addressed the possibility of starring in her own spinoff series.

“Unfortunately, this season is not about me. It’s about celebrities,” Stanger told the magazine. “We don’t have enough time in an hour. I need a two-hour special. Who knows? Maybe I’ll get a spinoff — Patti’s World.”

However, if she’s hoping for a spinoff from Andy Cohen, she may be barking up the wrong tree. As the Inquisitr reported, Stanger made some not-so-nice comments about gay and Jewish men during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live.

“There is no curbing gay men… I have tried,” she said, adding, “Jewish men lie.”

Following the appearance, Cohen and Stanger reportedly had a falling out, and Cohen refused to allow her back on his late-night show.

“Patti expected to be on Sunday night following her premiere, but Andy made it clear that he didn’t want her as a guest,” an insider told the New York Daily News Confidenti@l. “No one likes television drama more than Andy. What he doesn’t like is that Patti doesn’t kiss his a**.”

That, the insider added, is what makes Stanger such a success, both in reality television and in her career in general.

“It’s no secret Andy and Patti aren’t close, but she has always been very professional. No one can ever accuse Patti of being fake. [Her authenticity is] the main reason why she has been so successful!”

After making the insulting comments about gay and Jewish men, Stanger apologized to TMZ, telling the site, “I am so sorry. I did not mean to offend anyone with my comments last night.”
