Chris Brown Is Publicizing His Loyalty To Karrueche Tran — Is Anyone Buying It?
Chris Brown is most famously for his terrible and abusive relationships, namely with fellow R&B artist Rihanna. But now Chris Brown seems to be making a very public promise of loyalty to his on-and-off girlfriend Karrueche Tran. Not only did Brown buy Tran a puppy, he also got her two diamond engagement rings — which were quickly posted to Instagram. But how committed is Chris Brown to the relationship this time?
According to the Christian Post, Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran reunited just in time for New Years, which Chris took as an opportunity to make a resolution of loyalty. A source close to Brown explained that the rapper is tired of “destroying” the people in his life, specifically his girlfriend and his own mother. He has since promised to stop hurting them. “[Chris Brown] realizes that both of these women are vital to his existences [sic] and he doesn’t want to sabotage them any longer,” said the source.
Other reports claim that Chris Brown promised to start treating Tran like a queen, saying, “You’ve stolen my heart and no woman has ever treated me the way you have. No one, not even any of my exes compare to you.”
But is this commitment sincere? According to Pop Dust, Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran were spotted flaunting their new devotion to one another by walking their new dog in Beverly Hills and showing off Tran’s new engagement rings at Sean Kingston’s annual Christmas party that took place last Thursday. But anyone who knows Chris Brown knows that things aren’t always as they seem. Brown reached international notoriety for physically hurting his girlfriend Rihanna during their brief romance. Can Tran expect more of the same abuse? According to Latin Post, even Chris Brown’s relationship with Tran started on false pretenses.
“[Chris] basically said the most messed up things to [Tran] ever. Granted, they were in a heated argument, and Chris snapped and told her that ‘When we first met, you were just a pawn in my game, and I was really using you to make Rihanna jealous.'”
Since then, Chris Brown has supposedly apologized to Tran and made his commitment to her very clear. According to the IB Times,a source claimed that Chris Brown said to Tran, “I don’t know what I was thinking by saying that s***. Rihanna is nothing compared to you. You see I’m with you. I will never, ever compare you to her as long as I live. She doesn’t even exist to me. You are my everything. Everything I am and have is because of you.”
