Football fans can watch live online as Notre Dame and LSU face off in the Music City Bowl, each trying to end their disappointing seasons on a strong note.

The game kicks off Tuesday at 3 p.m. ET from Nashville, Tennessee. The 22nd ranked Tigers (8-4), which entered the season with National Championship aspirations, are trying to salvage their season against a Notre Dame (7-5) team that fell apart down the stretch, losing five of its last six games.

But there is still a lot on the line in the Music City Bowl, LSU coach Les Miles said.

“There’s a tradition and a culture here we’ve kind of established and the young men that come here really enjoy stepping into this room and being a part of that culture,” Miles said. “It’s interesting too, you hate to say good-bye, we said good-bye to 22 seniors at the banquet and they’re a quality group of men. To think the team, they talk about their time here, and what they don’t realize is they impact the people here.”

Fans who watch the Notre Dame vs. LSU football game live online will get to see a glimpse of the future for the Fighting Irish. Coach Brian Kelly announced this week that Malik Zaire will get his first collegiate start.

But Kelly said the game will likely come down to defense, as Notre Dame gave up 291 points down the stretch this season.

“We’ll have to do a great job of keeping our defense off the field, and our offense has a lot to say about what goes on there,” said Kelly, who ESPN noted is the first coach in school history to go to a bowl in each of his first five seasons. “These are important practices and we’re better at (the quarterback) position because of it.”
