ISIS Sex Slaves Escape Rape Through Last Resort By Killing Themselves

One of the biggest atrocities happening in the Middle East today is the modern-day slavery of women, especially Yazidi women. Because of past reports, it is now known that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) capture these women and turn them into sex slaves.

The Inquisitr reported numerous times on the situation pertaining to Yazidi women sold as sex slaves for the terrorist organization, including the prices of said slaves, 1-year old babies being the most expensive, and a checklist on their release. Ultimately, the horrors the Yazidi sex slaves experience is so debilitating that one such slave wanted the West (United States) to bomb her and her brothel after she was raped 30 times “right before lunchtime.”

The Yazidi woman who wanted to be bombed isn’t the only one who wants to die. There are now reports coming in that captured Yazidi women from Iraq are now killing each other and themselves to escape rape.

According to the Mirror, it is feared that thousands of Iraqi Yazidi women may have suffered rape and other sexual abuse from the Islamic State fighters. Word of such atrocities has spread among the female population that when women are captured, they are escaping rape and torture by killing themselves. This is confirmed by surviving sex slaves who were either saved or escaped.

A shocking report by Amnesty International titled “Escape from Hell: Torture, Sexual Slavery in Islamic State Captivity in Iraq” probes into the horrifying abuse suffered by thousands and thousands of Yazidi women and girls kidnapped by ISIS. One 27-year-old woman named Wafa told of how she and her sister attempted to end their lives by strangulation with their scarves when they were threatened with forced marriage. Two other girls sleeping in the same room woke up in time to stop them.

“We tied the scarves around our necks and pulled away from each other as hard as we could, until I fainted … I could not speak for several days after that.”

One of the saddest stories included in the report is on Jilan, a 19-year-old girl who committed suicide while being held captive in Mosul because she feared of being raped, as told by her brother. Another girl, who managed to escape, was in the same room as Jilan and 20 others, including two girls aged 10 and 12. She too told her story as well as details of what happened to Jilan.

“One day we were given clothes that looked like dance costumes and were told to bathe and wear those clothes.”

“Jilan killed herself in the bathroom. She cut her wrists and hanged herself. She was very beautiful; I think she knew she was going to be taken away by a man and that is why she killed herself.”
