Academy Award winner and American Idol alumni Jennifer Hudson have the honor of belting out the National Anthem at the Super Bowl this evening, and she did a pretty good job of it.
Critical reception has been strong so far, with Hudson adding some long soul notes without skipping a beat.

Jennifer's performance was AMAZING!!! It brought tears to my eyes. She sang from her heart and soul. What's from the heart, reaches the heart and she certainly reached mine!!!! God Bless You Jennifer Hudson! You are truly one of the greatest voices of ALL TIME!

What do you think the author was thinking when he wrote the national anthem. I wish to think he was writing form his heart, from his soul, and for all those whom sing it should feel it in their hearts and souls. Well that is excatly what Jennifer Hudson did tonight!! She sang the national anthem as it was ment to be sang, from her heart, from her soul, filled with pride! I think with-in the past 6 years this has been the best, by far, national anthem sang. I also think that this was a smart choice made by Jennifer. 2,3, 10 years down the road we will look back and think about the terriable story that unfolded not that long ago, and then say what a triumphent return. All i have to say is, the following artest that are asked to sing the national anthem had better step up to the plate and bring their A game. For this was one that will go on the records.

How do you think the author ment for then National Anthem the sang when he wrote it? Well i say he wrote it form his heart, from his soul, and for those whom sang it were to sing it from their too. Well that is exactly what Jennifer Hudson did tonight. She proudly stood on that platform and sang form her heart and soul! I have to say over the past 6 years this has been the best i have heard it sang!!! The author worte the National Anthem while in a fort ceil lookin out over the battle field, you could say going through hell. I think this was an excilent move made by Miss Hudson. Tell me if im worng but in the next 3,6,10 years we will look back and just remember all that Jennifer went through and continue to say what a triumphent return! For all those artist to come you better bring your A game because this was one for the records.

i am so happy for jennifer. her performance was quite moving- i have NEVER EVER EVER heard the national anthem sung so beautifully! it was amazing.

The author of the National Anthem, Frances Scott Key, was writing a poem, he wrote it from the bay during the War of 1812. He was writing it the morning after the White House was set afire. He wrote about seeing the flag still flying at dawns early light. He was most definantly writing from his heart.

She was amazing! Even my husband loved it and he isn't a big fan of shouting singing artist! She is truly a natural born talent artist. Such a tragic her family couldn't be there for her but we are. We love you Jen, especially in Sex in the City and Dreamgirls!
