WWE News: Brock Lesnar Reportedly All But Confirmed To Be Heading Back To UFC Soon

While he might be enjoying his current run in WWE, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar may be done with WWE very soon. It has been rumored for some time that once Lesnar’s deal with WWE expires, he’ll be heading back to UFC to compete in MMA once again. Lesnar was successful in his time with UFC, winning the UFC Heavyweight Title with few fights under his belt.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Lesnar’s people tend to keep things quiet as far as his future is concerned. The belief is that he’s headed back to the UFC once his current WWE contract expires following WrestleMania 31. He has been added to next week’s WWE RAW broadcast and he is set to be on most of the RAW shows heading into WrestleMania 31. This would have his date deal running out potentially at Mania itself.

The rumor currently is that Lesnar will face Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania. This has seemingly been the plan with WWE heading back to the summer. However, due to the great work of Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, and Seth Rollins, there is a thought that Reigns could lose his potential main event with Lesnar.

In fact, while Lesnar is guaranteed for WrestleMania, he is not guaranteed to keep his championship. He might even lose it to Seth Rollins at the Royal Rumble in a few weeks — which would totally change the entire card for WrestleMania. This is similar to what WWE had to do last year to accommodate the massive love for Daniel Bryan.

WWE went through with plans to have Batista win the Royal Rumble, which was not well received by WWE fans. Meanwhile, Bryan was being virtually buried in favor of Dave. This led to WWE putting in an idea that would help Bryan get into the WrestleMania main event, where he would compete for the WWE World Heavyweight Title.

WWE has learned from this ordeal and could end up throwing Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, or Dolph Ziggler into some sort of concept that would get all three into major matches. This would not ruin anything for Roman, who would also get a major match at Mania.

Lesnar is going to get a major match as well, simply out of name value. So WWE will most likely throw in a few things, but we could see a lot of interesting stuff that was not in the plate before.

Regardless of what happens at Mania, Brock Lesnar will most likely be leaving WWE for UFC once more. UFC President Dana White wants him back, and it is also known that Lesnar has had discussions with UFC. After WrestleMania, it seems all but confirmed Lesnar will be gone and fighting once more.
