Video: Kevin Hart Crashes California Wedding, Co-Star Josh Gad ‘Insulted We Weren’t Invited’

A video in which Kevin Hart crashes a wedding in West Hollywood, California, along with his Wedding Ringer co-star Josh Gad, appeared on YouTube last week, providing a blast of free publicity for the upcoming comedy due to hit multiplex screens on January 16.

The 35-year-old comic and his 33-year-old co-star were filming a promo for the film, in which Hart plays a goofball who hires himself out as “best man” for prospective grooms who, apparently, don’t have close friends of male relatives. The promo was being shot next door to Quixote Studios in West Hollywood, which apparently hosts weddings.

Rajan and Chandni Patel were getting married there on December 13, and when Hart and Had realized what was going on, they figured they wouldn’t waste the tuxedos they were already wearing for the photo shoot and join the party themselves.

“Everyone was freaking out when they walked in,” one wedding reveler revealed to E! Online News. “So confused, looking around, like, ‘What is going on?'”

The happy couple were so excited that they posted their videographer’s recording of the Kevin Hart wedding surprise to YouTube, under the title, “Kevin Hart & Josh Gad Crashed Our Wedding.”

“We were a little insulted that we weren’t invited to this wedding,” Gad, who most recently starred in the quickly-cancelled NBC sitcom 1600 Penn, declared, when he grabbed a microphone.

The pair of stars immediately launched into a speech about the nature of love.

“I know love,” Hart announced. “I’m looking at two people that are in love. L is for lucky. O is for — ”

“Opportunity,” Gad interjected.

“Thank you Josh, because I didn’t have an O,” Hart quipped.

Gad then said that “V” stands for “Victory,” and Hart finished up the address by declaring that said that E meant “Everlasting.”

The pair then launched into a song, with Gad singing lead. The comedian had earlier proved his chops as a singer and dancer on Broadway where he was one of the lead actors in the original cast of the hit musical Book of Mormon.

“The bride and groom couldn’t stop smiling,” another guest told E!

The Wedding Ringer co-stars then proceeded to lead the guests in a dance.

The Wedding Ringer also stars Kaley Cuoco Sweeting, best known for her role on the hit sitcom The Big Bang Theory, but who was not there when Kevin Hart and Josh Gad crashed the real-life wedding.
