Mariah Carey Insomnia: Singer Has Trouble Sleeping Following Nick Cannon Split
Mariah Carey’s insomnia issues are putting a new spotlight on the singer this Christmas. According to AZ Central, the singer is having trouble sleeping since the split from Nick Cannon. The couple split back in August after six years of marriage. Sources close to Carey have revealed that she is not handling the split well. In fact, one source said that Mariah is a “mess” over the end of her marriage.
Cannon and Carey did spend Thanksgiving Day together, and she was all smiles in a photo she shared on Instagram. However, the couple will not be spending Christmas Day together with their two children. Mariah and Nick are the parents of 3-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan.
According to E! Online, Mariah has requested that Nick not spend Christmas with her this year. A source revealed the reason behind her request.
“The original plan had been for the whole family to spend Christmas together in Colorado. However, Mariah has now asked Nick not to come. It’s based on a few things. For starters, they spent Thanksgiving together and fought behind the scenes. How is it healthy for the kids if both parents are technically in the same place but fighting?”
Mariah has arrived in Colorado for her holiday trip with the twins. It has been reported that Nick plans to deny her request and show up anyway, but that remains to be seen. The Mirror shared photos of a smiling Mariah Carey as she stepped out to do some last minute Christmas shopping. The singer wore a white winter coat to fight the chill.
In recent weeks, Carey has been experiencing some trouble on stage. Last week, she broke down crying while on stage in New York City. She has also been plagued by issues with her voice. According to E! Online, the singer is blaming her recent troubles on Nick. A source said that Mariah “holds him partially responsible for the bad press her recent performances have gotten.” The stress over the divorce has “rattled” Carey.
Mariah has received some support from another pop diva recently. The Inquisitr reported earlier this month that Lady Gaga attended one of Carey’s performances. Gaga went backstage after the performance at the Beacon Theater in New York City, and the two singers posed for a few selfies that popped up on Instagram. Gaga captioned one of the photos with “This lady is so kind, such a star, and sounding legendary tonight at Beacon Theater.”
It is clear that Mariah Carey is having trouble dealing with the end of her marriage. Here is hoping for a happier 2015 for her and her family.
