Kelly Clarkson Hospitalized Before She Hit The Stage

Kelly Clarkson made a trip to the emergency room before she hit the stage for her Miracle on Broadway show.

According to People magazine Clarkson spent the morning in the ER, which she addressed the crowd at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.

“Y’all, I spent all morning in the ER! But don’t worry. They gave me a shot of B12 and I’m feeling great and so excited to be here!”

Despite taking a trip to the ER and getting a boost, Clarkson was fully energized and ready to go. She took on several holiday tunes from her Christmas album Wrapped in Red. One significant moment came when she sang the title song “Wrapped in Red” which she wrote for her husband Brandon Blackstock.

She told the crowd the little inside story, “I had been single a long time and this song was my ‘I’m going to do it’ moment, my way of saying ‘I’m all in.'” Clarkson also performed the song “Winter Dreams (Brandon’s Song).

In addition to Kelly Clarkson, the holiday special welcomed singers such as Hayley Williams, Martina McBride, Meghan Trainor, Garth Brooks, Ronnie Dunn. However, the big highlight came when Clarkson took the stage with Trisha Yearwood and her step mother in law Reba McEntire for a special rendition of “Silent Night.”

McEntire even found time to compliment her daughter in law. “All you young girls out there who want to be a singer, Kelly is one to follow. She’s not only a great singer, she has the biggest heart I know. She is a true role model and I’m so proud of her.”

Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock welcomed a daughter, River Rose in June of 2014. Since then she’s tweeted about her adorable little girl.
