Amber Portwood Regretting ‘Teen Mom’ Comeback? She Unfollows Boyfriend To Keep Private Life Private
Ever since she was a teenager, Amber Portwood has been in the spotlight, thanks to the hit MTV shows 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom. Being on reality television proved poisonous for Amber, whose life spiraled out of control and hit rock bottom when she was handed a prison sentence. Now out of prison, Portwood has been focused on maintaining a low profile while she works hard to get her life on the right track.
So far, she has done a good job of showing everyone that she has turned her life around, but she has also been working hard to keep her private life private. Of course, when the new season of Teen Mom airs on MTV, it will be much more difficult for her to keep things quiet.
While there is nothing to definitively say Amber Portwood regrets doing another season of Teen Mom, there is a lot going on in her life right now that has been made public thanks to her notoriety. The untimely passing of Portwood’s father recently made headlines, as did her reactions on Twitter. While Portwood has never kept her father’s failing liver a secret, she has worked hard to keep her new relationship a secret. As Radar Online points out, she has even gone as far as to unfollow her boyfriend on the social networking site, after details about his past came to light.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Amber Portwood’s boyfriend, Matt, has a criminal record, which includes charges for “issuing checks without funds” and a DUI. There was even a tax lien placed against him in an amount in excess of $28,000, although that was ultimately dismissed.
It is a shame that Amber Portwood feels she needs to keep her relationship a secret, but there is no doubt that her reality show star fame makes her a target for online bullies. Making it even sadder is seeing how much in love these two truly are. Aside from getting matching tattoos, they also shared sweet tweets before she unfollowed him.
“When you are having a bad day nothing beats a perfectly timed text from someone you are close to,” Matt tweeted to Amber Portwood in September, back when rumors of the romance started swirling.
Amber, on the other hand, has not tweeted since she thanked fans for their support.
It is unclear if Matt will appear on the new season of Teen Mom, but if he does, it will be even harder for Amber Portwood to keep her relationship quiet. Hopefully fans will be able to respect her wishes and not judge her based on her love life.
