WWE News: WWE Unable To Beat UFC Offer To WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar

Could WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar be leaving WWE soon? It looks likely, as reports have surfaced that Lesnar wants to get back into the MMA scene. The interesting part is, despite the amount of dates he works, Lesnar enjoys working for the WWE. They paid him quite well, and have pushed him to a high status within the company. I mean, how many people can say they defeated The Undertaker at WrestleMania and weren’t talking about WWE 2K15?

WWE also threw the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on him, and he has still kept his dates intact. The fact is this: Lesnar has been paid well to do something he enjoys. However, the draw to MMA could be higher. There is an added issue as well, in that the Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE cannot pay Lesnar the amount he was paid in his last deal. They may not be seeing the pay-off with it.

UFC, however, is willing to offer a big deal similar to Lesnar’s current WWE contract. Of course, this seems like a good concept for Lesnar.

It is said that Lesnar knew his contract with WWE would be coming up and they’d want to re-sign him, but couldn’t match his last deal. Due to this, rumor has it that he has used UFC as a way to increase the deal. Unlike some who threaten to leave and go to another company, it is well known that UFC President Dana White is a big Brock Lesnar fan and would take him back. Lesnar was also a former UFC Heavyweight Champion a couple years back.

That said, Lesnar using UFC as a tool in negotiations has been taken seriously. CM Punk jumping to UFC got massive attention. Punk has done media like crazy since signing with them. If Lesnar were to jump back to UFC, the company would instantly put him in a marquee fight potentially by the fall.

Lesnar is signed through WrestleMania 31, so if he does leave, it will not be until at least mid-April. The current plan for Lesnar is for him to face the WWE’s new, handpicked “face of WWE,” Roman Reigns. Reigns would beat Lesnar clean at the event and become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. This would catapult Reigns into super stardom, similar to John Cena.

It will take time to build him up to be a replacement for Cena, however, allowing him to beat Lesnar will surely be a huge push in that direction. Lesnar cannot be stopped currently, so Reigns putting him down only makes Roman look better in the eyes of casual fans.

Will Brock Lesnar re-sign with WWE? The feeling is no. However, if he is using the UFC interest as a signing ploy, WWE will figure out a way to get him a good deal, and we can imagine that Lesnar might stay then. As of now, things are up in the air.
