WWE: Ronda Rousey Wants To Be A Heel In Honor Of ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper, Will UFC Let Her Go?

If “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey joins the WWE, then of course she would have to be a heel since doing otherwise would just be an insult Roddy Piper. But the real question is, would UFC President Dana White ever let her go?

In a related report by the Inquisitr, Ronda Rousey fangasmed all over CM Punk when they first met in person, so of course she freaked out when she heard Phil Brooks would be joining UFC. Despite being a big fan, Rousey admits she prefers Dwayne Johnson over Punk.

When asked about the possibility of Ronda Rousey’s WWE career, the UFC fighter admitted she would sign up with Vince McMahon if her friends in the Four Horsewomen were down with it.

“Professionally, who knows? Me and all the girls are huge fans. If they were all down to do something, I’d be happy to jump in with them. But I have the most hectic schedule ever with the fights and the movies right now and adding an entire career on top of that right now is a tall order.”

For the foreseeable future, Rousey has been focused on building an acting career, with her biggest role to date being in Expendables 3. Earlier this year, she had hoped she could “just go straight from the fight to the red carpet. I think that would be kind of cool.” She already has her goals set high, hoping to become the highest paid actress in the world.

“I didn’t grow up wanting to be an action star. I just didn’t think it was in the cards. Now that it’s a possibility, I’m like, ‘Screw it, I don’t give a s***, if The Rock can become the world’s highest-grossing actor, I can have that same goal.”‘

Of course, to succeed in the WWE, a wrestler has to be a halfway decent actor (just ask Roman Reigns). Ronda Rousey has not committed anything to the WWE yet, but she’s already saying she would be the “bad guy” if she joined the WWE Divas.

“Oh I would be a heel for sure,” Rousey told talkSPORT. “I can’t take the name of ‘Rowdy’ and not be a heel, that would be an insult to the man I pay tribute to with my name – the great Rowdy Roddy Piper. I would have to try and live up to his legacy as much as possible and I can’t do that being a babyface.”

Never mind face versus heel, what many fans would probably like to see is Rousey take on some of the male WWE superstars, an idea which Trish Stratus has suggested in the past.

The real obstacle to any of these plans would be Ronda Rousey’s UFC contract. It’s believed the WWE would love to have Rousey for WrestleMania 31, but it’s assumed she is fighting in the UFC under a non-compete agreement, something which Dana White would very likely enforce if she decided to jump ship. Most likely, the undefeated 27-year-old MMA fighter will continue her UFC career for the next several years. But when her UFC career is over, WWE will be there.
