Two Suspects Arrested For Robbing Employees of Domino’s Pizza

According to Fox Memphis, two men have been arrested in relation to the armed robbery of Domino’s Pizza employees. The robbery occurred on December 18. Employees of the Domino’s Pizza were leaving after having closed the store on the 400 block of Church Street at approximately 1 a.m.

Two individuals with handguns approached, robbed the employees, and then fled the scene on foot.

Mardarius J. Lee of Memphis, aged 19, and Jordan K. Lewis of Southaven, aged 20, have both been charged with armed robbery and conspiracy to commit a crime. Lewis has also been charged with possession of paraphernalia. No bond has been set at this time, and no injuries occurred during the robbery of the employees of Domino’s. Lee and Lewis are set to appear before the Southaven Municipal Court on January 7, 2015.

This is not the only robbery to occur in or around a Domino’s location this holiday season. Early Friday, Fox47 out of Madison reported that Ryan J. Barthel, aged 39, had been arrested on suspicion of armed robbery. Police responded to a call from the Domino’s location on Highway 151 around 2 a.m., where employees reported that a man with his face painted black had robbed the store at knifepoint, and had then fled the scene in a black vehicle.

Shortly afterwards, police responded to a tip from a business in Mineral Point that a man had entered the business and had been washing his face. Barthel was arrested when he was stopped by an Iowa County sheriff’s deputy who located a knife, cash, and black boot polish in his vehicle.

Earlier this month, a Domino’s driver delivered a pizza to Quinnipiac University, according to NBC Connecticut. As the driver was leaving, he saw “a woman at the bottom of the driveway to campus screaming for help.”

He went to offer assistance and was approached by a man, dressed in black, who hit him repeatedly then took his money, cell phone, and car keys. The assailant, the woman who was screaming, and another man fled in a green van. Police continue to investigate the robbery.

And back in November, of course, a video made the viral rounds of what happened when a Domino’s employee and guest got into a verbal sparring match over who exactly made the sauce mistake.

Stay safe, Domino’s employees. It’s a crazy world out there.
