Gabrielle Union Pregnant? Report Claims She’s Expecting First Child
Gabrielle Union is reportedly pregnant with her first child.
According to Media Takeout, the Becoming Mary Jane actress is expecting her first child with husband Dwyane Wade.
The report claims that multiple sources have confirmed the news.
An insider allegedly opened up to Media Takeout with details about how Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade reacted to the news when they first found out themselves.
“They were not even trying to get pregnant. It just happened and they’re very happy about it. It’s very early, so don’t expect an announcement until she’s 3 months.”
If the report is true, the 42-year-old actress could be eating for two and making plans to expand her family with a son or daughter at some point in 2015.
While promoting her movie, Think Like a Man Too, Gabrielle Union had a chance to talk about the joys of her blended family. In an interview with Vegas magazine, Union discussed her new role as an “overnight mom” due to a change in her husband’s custody arrangement with his former wife.
“I went from no kids to D getting full custody, and the next day we had a full house. So it was instant.”
Gabrielle Union went on to explain that her life was forced to shift to the back burner because of her new role as an “instant” mom as well as how she had come to accept that. Union also hinted at idea of being “open” to giving birth to a baby of her own.
“Our lives never skipped a beat. When you’re someone who goes from never having thought about birthing her own babies to [having] a ready-made family that has immediate needs and wants and desires, your life takes a back burner. If I were lucky enough to have one come out of my body, then great, I’d be totally open to that. But D’s kids…are part of my life. They’re a package deal.”
Dwyane Wade has three children from previous relationships — Zaire, Zion and Xavier. Earlier this year, the Miami Heat star athlete also gained custody of his 12-year-old nephew, Dahveon Morris.
According to some of the reactions and responses that have been posted on Twitter since Media Takeout first broke the news, quite a few people are excited over the possibility of Gabrielle Union being pregnant.
