Skyrim modders working to add multiplayer

There’s no denying that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim delivers a solid singleplayer experience, but one can’t help but at least wonder what it would be like if you could play it with friends – or complete strangers, if that’s your thing.

Thanks to the Skyrim modding community, we may eventually get the opportunity to see for ourselves just how multiplayer would work in Skyrim. Modders are currently working on an a mod that allows multiple people to join the same world, but the mod is currently in its very early stages, so we likely won’t be seeing a stable release anytime soon.

The mod does appear to work as of right now, but there’s not much you can do with it. Other players will appear as naked prisoners that you don’t seem to be able to interact with – not only that, none of the other players have any animations.

Still, it’s an interesting mod that you should definitely be keeping your eyes on if you’re interested in goofing off in the land of Skyrim with your friends. You can check out the alpha version at this link, or see it in its early, very buggy state in the video below.
