Stephen Belafonte Bullet: Mel B’s Husband Opens Up, Says He’d Take A Bullet For His Wife
Stephen Belafonte would take a bullet for Mel B, and he wants everyone to know it. According to Express UK, Belafonte, 39, is speaking out about his relationship with the former Spice Girl after rumors of domestic abuse and divorce circulated earlier this week. During a recent interview, Belafonte denied hitting his wife. He also denied any reports of infidelity.
“I love my wife. I’d take a bullet for her,” he said. And, in regard to divorce rumors, Belafonte said that Mel B’s wedding ring removal wasn’t anything to really be concerned about.
“Listen, people do whatever they do. Maybe her hands were swollen and she couldn’t fit the ring on because she’s been in the hospital?”
Stephen Belafonte saying he’d take a bullet for Mel B isn’t the only thing he talked about during the interview. Evidently he feels that people are trying to bring him down. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the rumors started when Mel B was forced to skip out of the X Factor UK semi-finals due to an unspecified illness. When she returned to the judge’s panel, she had some pretty noticeable bruises. Days later, witness saw her leaving her London home with “luggage and boxes.” And since people have been quick to speculate, Belafonte has been forced to do quite a bit of damage control. Meanwhile, Mel B hasn’t said a word.
“I just got off the phone with my wife. You know what, it’s not even about Mel and it’s not even about me. There were some motives going on from other people on certain things. I had nothing to do with hurting my wife. I did not touch Mel. I didn’t hit her. I wasn’t cheating or anything. There was no girl involved. You think about where you’ve been and what you’ve been through. I love my wife. I care about my wife. I’d take a bullet for her. I’ve got to consistently grow a little bit. But I do want to get old with my wife and have grandchildren. And by the way, Mel’s never said anything. This is because there’s a witch-hunt and a feeding frenzy against me.”
Stephen Belafonte can take a bullet for his wife all he wants, but people are already starting to think that something is up. According to the London Evening Standard, Belafonte has posted about the rumors on social media too, but the fact that his wife isn’t defending him (or even retweeting his messages) is more telling.
