WWE News: WWE Claims Halting Of Brock Lesnar Merchandise Is False

On a given day in the professional wrestling world, rumors spurt from out of nowhere about any subject. One day, Randy Orton could leave the company and it won’t be true. However, big news like CM Punk walking out on Raw hits the dirtsheets and they are as factual. It all depends on what kind of story it is and if it is big enough, the WWE will even respond back with a statement, or even a tweet.

Brock Lesnar made his climactic return to WWE programming two nights ago on Monday Night Raw. He first came to defend Paul Heyman in a match against Chris Jericho in the latter-stages of Raw. Needless to say, he hit Jericho with an F-5 and went to the back. Later that night, he came out to help Seth Rollins defeat John Cena in their TLC rematch. Three german suplexes were hit to the 15-time WWE champion as Rollins shook the hand of Heyman in victory.

Lesnar departure-rumors are once again hitting the airwaves. Some are claiming that he will be leaving after the Raw following WrestleMania 31. Others are thinking that Lesnar will forgo his options with the UFC and Bellator to re-sign with the WWE. His deal does end after WrestleMania, so it’s not crazy to think he’ll depart. A report came out two days ago that said the WWE will halt all Lesnar merchandise. WWE noticed this and decided to add their comment to the story.

“We noted earlier via Bryan Alvarez of F4Wonline.com that people working in WWE’s merchandise department were told not to produce any new merchandise for Brock Lesnar and if they did have any earmarked for Lesnar, to produce it for Sheamus. This added to the belief that Lesnar would be leaving after WrestleMania 31.

“A WWE spokesperson contacted us tonight and responded to the report on Lesnar: ‘There is no truth to this report.'”

WrestlingInc.com was one of the many websites that reported the news about Brock Lesnar’s merchandise. There could be truth to the story and maybe Lesnar is done with his second stint in the company. Lesnar is money for the WWE. Each time he appears, which is very seldom, it is money. Nobody can deny Lesnar’s star power and the fact that he has held the WWE World Heavyweight championship since SummerSlam helped bring even more prestige to the title belt.

Not a lot of WWE fans are a big fan of Lesnar, but he is a coming-attraction. Just like Sting, Triple H or the Undertaker, Lesnar brings that aura that many cannot do. Guys in NXT like Finn Balor will have that charisma one day, but right now, it is Lesnar’s show. If he does go back to MMA, he will be missed in professional wrestling and that’s why Vince McMahon should try and re-sign him to another contract. He’s better in the company than not at all.
