Kenny Anderson, Tami Roman’s Ex, Agrees ‘The Interview’ Should Be Cancelled

Kenny Anderson, former NBA star and ex to Basketball Wives’ Tami Roman, says he agrees that Sony Pictures should have cancelled The Interview, and believes that bailing on the project was absolutely the right thing to do. He also told TMZ that he was against the showing of the movie — even when viewing the trailer for the first time. Kenny Anderson is basing his opinion on North Korea’s history and his meeting Kim Jong-un for the first time in North Korea in January.

Specifically, he told TMZ Sports the following.

“I was trippin’ when I saw the movie preview. Why would they want to ruffle their feathers? They already hate America.”

Anderson believes that America shouldn’t give North Korea an excuse to start a war. Though Kenny Anderson remains puzzled as to why Sony Pictures would even embark on making the controversial movie, he says in hindsight he believes that Sony wanted Americans to know about the atrocities that have gone on in North Korea.

“I think they might’ve been trying to make Americans aware of some of the stuff that happens over there.”

And even though Kenny Anderson knows that Sony Pictures will lose a ton of money on scraping the film, he believes that human lives are worth it, and that it’s best to “cut our losses.”

The cancellation of Seth Rogan and James Franco’s flick comes just after rumors that the Sony leak had ties to North Korea. However, Sony has denied that there is a link. The North Korean regime had already spoken out, stating that the government was not “pleased” with The Interview’s content.

Not everyone is on board with Sony’s decision to cancel The Interview. In fact, many celebrities are indignant about it, stating that Sony should absolutely release the movie, and that North Korea doesn’t dictate what America can and cannot do. Actor George Clooney shared his thoughts on Sony’s decision to pull the plug on the movie, according to E! Online.

“Here, we’re talking about an actual country deciding what content we’re going to have. This affects not just movies, this affects every part of business that we have. That’s the truth. What happens if a newsroom decides to go with a story, and a country or an individual or corporation decides they don’t like it. Forget the hacking part of it. You have someone threaten to blow up buildings and all of a sudden, everybody has to bow down.”

According to Inquisitr, Sony decided not to release the movie because many theaters across the country threatened not to show it. The movie had themes of assassination and plots of revenge against Kim Jong-un.
