Search Intensifies For Gunman Bradley Stone Who Killed Six In Pennsylvania

Marine veteran Michael Stone, 35, remains at large early Tuesday after murdering his ex-wife and five others and injuring another in Pennsburg, Pennsylvania in the wee hours of Monday morning, as reported by MSN. Stone is considered to be armed and dangerous.

Stone’s victims include, his ex-wife, Nicole Hill Stone, Nicole’s sister Patricia Flick, her sister’s husband, Aaron Flick, the couple’s 14-year-old daughter, Nina Flick. The couple’s 17-year-old son, Anthony Flick, suffered a head wound and clung to life as he was flown to Philadelphia hospital for treatment. The Flick family were the first ones attacked.

Nicole’s mother, Jo Anne Koder, and her 75-year-old grandmother, Patricia Hill, were also shot and killed inside their home along W. Fifth and Pierce Streets in Lansdale around 4:25 a.m. Monday, according to MSN.

In light of the seriousness of this manhunt, the Upper Perkiomen School District in Stone’s town is closed on Tuesday. Authorities also asked local residents to remain indoors Monday evening as the search area spread.

Police thought they may have caught a break late Monday night when officers rushed to the scene of reported carjacking. A man fitting Stone’s description and wearing fatigues attempted to carjack a victim at knifepoint, until the victim fired shots at the man and he ran into nearby woods, as reported by NBC 10.

Police searched the area for four areas with no success. The Central Bucks YMCA and the Stonington Farms Apartments went on lockdown during that time frame.

Unfortunately, the perpetrator was not captured. Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman stated in a briefing that the search continued.

“As I stand here right now, we do not know where he is.”

Nicole Hill Stone feared for her life, believing that her ex-husband, Stone, would kill her. The two have been in an ongoing child custody battle since their divorce in 2009. Stone had good reason to be afraid. Stone turned up at Nicole’s apartment at 4:55 a.m. Monday, shot and killed her just a few feet away from their daughters, ages 5 and 8-years old.

Stone then took the girls with him and fled the scene. But not before being spotted by Nicole’s neighbor, as reported by NBC 10.

After being awakened by the commotion next door, Nicole’s neighbor describes the yelling she heard as well as gunshots.

“I heard the kids say, ‘Mommy no. We need my mom. I want my mom.’ And I heard the suspect say ‘Let’s go. We have to go now. We’re leaving,'”

As revealed by NBC 10, the neighbor then ran to her window and opened it as she saw a man running from the apartment to a parked car with the two children.

“I opened the window and I asked him ‘Is everything OK?’ He just looked at me and said ‘She’s hurt pretty bad. We have to leave. She’s hurt.’ And he just got in the car and just left.”

Stone dropped his daughters off safely at a friend’s house before going on the run from the police.

Police released a description of Bradley Stone stating he is 5-feet-10-inches, 195 pounds.

“He is believed to be clean-shaven, but earlier officials said he could have a red beard and close-cropped hair. He is known to use a cane or walker to assist in moving, Vetri Ferman said. He may also be wearing military fatigues — either green or brown,” as reported by NBC 10.

The police have recovered his car and his cell phone, leaving his means of travelling a mystery at this time. However, police are asking residents to be diligent in being aware of their surroundings and to call 911 if Stone is spotted.

Stone remarried last year, and has a newborn son. MSN reports that neither his wife nor his baby were injured. Stone’s wife’s Facebook page last pictured Stone’s wife, their newborn son and Stone’s daughters having their picture made with Santa on Saturday.

NBC 10 reports Nicole’s friend, Evan Weron, admitting that Nicole knew she was in danger, and warned everyone around her about what she felt was her impending doom.

“She knew and[Bradley (Stone) would tell her that he was going to kill her. She would go around to all the ladies in the neighborhood ‘This man’s going to kill me.’ She felt threatened.”
