Donald Trump: After Next Terror Attack, We’ll Go Back To Torture

Real estate mogul Donald Trump went onto Fox News’ Fox and Friends to talk about the torture report, saying the authors are “like enemies of our country.” Trump insists once another attack happens we’ll go back to torture, and that will happen pretty quickly.

As the Inquisitr reported, the Senate Intelligence Committee has shocked the world with about 6,700 pages of vivid details of CIA torture methods, including sleep deprivation, rectal rehydration (forced feeding through the anus), and waterboarding. The report found one death from the extreme measures, and that the CIA was misinforming the White House, Congress, even itself about the effectiveness of the program.

According to the Huffington Post, Donald Trump can hardly believe it, not the contents of the torture report, but that the Democrat-led Senate Intelligence Committee is releasing it.

“What’s going on is inconceivable, that they’re releasing these reports. It’s almost like they’re enemies of our country.”

Mr. Trump went on to explain to the Fox and Friend’s crew that all this is happening simply because people have forgotten about 9/11, and once another attack occurs, we’ll be right back to the torture.

“As soon as the next attack happens, everybody’s going to want to go back to the torture because that’s what happened after 9/11 — everybody felt strongly about it — it was fine. But years go by and people forget the thousands of people that were killed horribly by these maniacs.”

According to Donald Trump that next attack is going to happen soon. He said that the problem is really that the terrorists have no respect for us, saying that they “see what they can get away with,” and they just don’t have respect as a result.

Trump also claimed that not only do the CIA tactics get results, its light-weight compared the methods of terrorists abroad.

“We go for sleep deprivation and [terrorists] go for chopping off people’s heads, and then we’re horrible people, because sleep deprivation is a horrible form of torture, and waterboarding and all. Nobody can tell me we don’t get information with things such as that.”

How does Donald know?

As he explained last Monday on the same program, torture is a tried and true method dating back to ancient times.

“This whole thing on torture not working… Torture not working? Well, for 5,000 years it’s worked, but now it’s not working? Torture is terrible, it’s horrible, it’s violent,” Trump said, “but we’re living in a violent world.”

As for the Fox and Friends, they seemed to generally agree with Donald Trump’s position, explaining that not only was the U.S. just doing what it could to prevent future attacks, the CIA operatives involved were just following orders.

One thing seems clear from the interviews, Donald Trump doesn’t mince words. He doesn’t use the euphemism “enhanced interrogation,” instead he seems clear that this is torture, and in Donald’s opinion it’s justified.
