Camille Cosby: Bill Cosby In The Media Is A Man I Do Not Know

On Sunday, Bill Cosby broke his silence to tell a New York Post ‘Page Six’ reporter that the black media should remain neutral and keep an open mind when it comes to the rape accusations being reported about Cosby – before Bill quickly ended the call, telling the reporter that “they” didn’t want him talking to the media, reports the Inquisitr.

On Monday, it was Bill Cosby’s wife’s turn to break her silence, and the opening strains of “Stand By Your Man” just about played in the background, with TMZ reporting that Camille Cosby staunchly stuck up for her husband, despite nearly two dozen sexual assault allegations from various women.

“He is a kind man, a generous man, a funny man, and a wonderful husband, father and friend. He is the man you thought you knew.”

Similar to Bill Cosby, Camille Cosby focused on blaming the media for supposedly creating an image of a Bill Cosby that she didn’t recognize. Camille Cosby – just like Mr. Cosby – didn’t directly address her husband’s accusers, but blamed all brouhaha on news organizations reporting on the crimes Cosby’s accusers have alleged.

“A different man has been portrayed in the media over the last two months. It is the portrait of a man I do not know.”

Camille Cosby did address the women who’ve accused Bill of drugging and raping them by claiming journalists have given them a pass by listening to and publishing their stories.

“It is also the portrait painted by individuals and organizations whom many in the media have given a pass.”

Without directly denying that her husband had anything to do with the rape accusations, Camille Cosby went on to point to the recent controversy over a Rolling Stone article, as if that error absolves the accusations being brought against Bill Cosby.

“We all followed the story of the article in the Rolling Stone concerning allegations of rape at the University of Virginia. The story was heart-breaking but ultimately appears to be proved to be untrue. Many in the media were quick to link that story to stories about my husband.”

Camille Cosby seems to waffle when she states that she doesn’t want to blame rape victims, but questions who the real victim is in the case of Bill Cosby, making herself look like the ultimate wife with blinders on who doesn’t want to face what could be a harsh truth about Bill.

“None of us will ever want to be in the position of attacking the victim. But the question should be asked — who is the victim?”
