The Jewish a capella group called Six13 is taking the web by storm with their latest parody of Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off.” The video is a hilarious play on Swift’s hit song that focuses on the impending Jewish holiday, Hanukkah.

Hanukkah officially begins Tuesday evening and ends on December 24. The lyrics are pretty funny, and are sure feature all the Hanukkah fun you can handle. From spinning dreidels to lighting candles, the lyrics take all the holiday trappings of a traditional Hanukkah celebration and bring them to life with a little humor.

“Made a dreidel out of clay, clay, clay, clay, clay / When it’s ready I will play, play, play, play, play/ Got a gimmel, not a hay, hay, hay, hay, hay / Mazel tov, mazel tov”

In addition to playing on popular Hanukkah celebration items like dreidels and latkes (a potato cake of sorts that is consumed for the holiday), the group also gives a little Hanukkah background history in the song.

“Back in 160 B.C.E. / Lived Judah Maccabee/ His army was so weak/ But they still beat the Greeks/ Supply of oil wasn’t great/ But a miracle took place/ It burned for 8 whole days/ It burned for 8 whole days.”

The singers from Six13 also sport a variety of pretty impressive costumes throughout the video. From traditional tutus to a Batman costume, there is something for everyone in Six13’s rendition of “Shake It Off.”

This Jewish a capella group isn’t the first parody of “Shake It Off” to hit the web. In fact, “Shake It Off” was mashed with a 1980s aerobics video that was truly a match made in heaven.
