Pop princess Ariana Grande has soared in the entertainment industry. In addition to her own successful tunes, she’s teamed up with some of show biz’s hottest names, including Jessie J. But with the busy demands of the professional life she’s chosen, how does Ariana manage to stay so sleek? It’s all about a healthy lifestyle, especially a vegan diet, she told the Mirror.
When Ariana made the decision to follow a plant-based diet, she abandoned her family tradition of eating meat-centric meals, she revealed. But Grande emphasizes that she takes pride in her heritage.
“It’s great hearing stories of my mum growing up in Brooklyn, then moving to Florida, having me and growing up with this eccentric, fun family. Although I don’t eat a lot of Italian things, because I’m vegan. I was raised on meat and cheese, so I’ve had enough for anyone’s normal life span.”
Also recently making the decision to go vegan is Jennifer Lopez, as the Inquisitr reported. J Lo credits her plant-based diet for boosting her energy and weight loss, helping her go from a size four to a size two.
For Ariana, the motivation to shift to a vegan diet focused on her health and happiness. But above all, she admits, she is an animal lover. If you want to interview her, bring a puppy and she’ll tell all, as shown below.
“I love animals more than I love most people, not kidding. But I am a firm believer in eating a full plant-based, whole food diet that can expand your life length and make you an all-round happier person.”
It’s that honesty that has charmed her followers and earned so many new fans. When Grande appeared at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, she found herself almost running down a supermodel. Ariana quickly followed that near-collision with tripping at Z100’s Jingle Ball Friday night, reported E News.
“Woooo Girl, I almost died up here,” announced the petite singer wearing reindeer ears.
Keeping her balance for those tricky moves on stage requires exercise dedication, emphasizes Grande. Dancing in her beloved high heels for rehearsal helps to blast calories and is among her favorite forms of fitness, she told Shape.
“Nothing burns more calories than dancing in 5-inch heels… try it!” she suggests.
In addition, Ariana works out on the elliptical, goes hiking when she’s at home in Hollywood, and makes time for meditation each day.
“Meditation is a great way to keep my body well-centered while juggling shooting schedules and recording sessions,” added Grande.
To avoid those tempting doughnut and cookie trays during recording sessions, Ariana takes her favorite snacks with her. She nibbles on almonds and cashews, and sips coconut water.
“I always have a bottle next to me,” reveals Adriana of her beverage fave.
