Pamela Anderson is not exactly lighting up the Love Magazine Day 12 Advent Calendar, released Saturday — but that’s only because the former Baywatch starlet’s sultry photo shoot appears in classic black-and-white, lit in the noir style of a 1940s detective movie.

But even though it has been almost 25 years since Pamela Anderson was Playboy Magazine‘s Playmate of the Month in February of 1990, the now-47-year-old sex symbol proves that she can still sizzle in a solo photo shoot that depicts the former wife of Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee blowing bubbles on a sofa wearing nothing but black lingerie.

Anderson, a native of British Columbia, Canada, was photographed by Doug Inglish, a prominent photographer known for his high-gloss, stylized shots of celebrities and models.

Pamela Anderson shot to stardom with her Playboy shoot in 1990, after she was discovered in the stands at a Canadian football game, where she appeared on the stadium video screen wearing a form-fitting T-shirt that highlighted her ample curves.

While continuing to appear in Playboy regularly — holding the record for appearances on the cover of the men’s magazine — she landed a small role on the hit ABC sitcom Home Improvement, which quickly led to the role that would define her as an iconic 1990s sex symbol, lifeguard C.J. Parker on the hit syndicated series Baywatch starting in 1992.

Clad in a skin-tight, one piece red swimsuit, Anderson was frequently the subject of long, lingering shots as she jogged up and down the Los Angeles beaches.

During her tumultuous relationship with Lee, a sexually explicit video of themselves shot by the couple on their honeymoon was allegedly stolen from their home and released onto the internet, creating the first celebrity sex tape scandal.

But Pamela Anderson has since gone on to take up numerous social issues, as a self-proclaimed vegan and activist for animal rights, marijuana legalization, and people with AIDS and HIV.
