Singer Jeremih Airport Arrest: R&B Crooner Busted For Disorderly Conduct

R&B singer Jeremih’s behavior at the Newark Liberty International Airport ultimately led to his arrest on Friday (December 12). The “Birthday Sex” crooner and two members of his encourage reportedly attempted to board a flight after missing the final call.

Instead of coming to terms with the fact that he’d arrived too late, Jeremih’s boys decided to take matters into their own hands. After missing the last boarding call, one of the singer’s sidekicks allegedly pried open the jetway door so Jeremih could find his seat and continue on his journey. Unfortunately, the airport took issue with their plan, promoting authorities to place Jeremih under arrest.

According to New Jersey Online, 27-year-old Jeremih Felton attempted to board the U.S. Air flight to Phoenix at a little after 1:30 p.m. A Port Authority spokesperson explained that the R&B singer and two other men were officially taken into custody.

“Along with Jeremih, who was charged with obstruction and disorderly conduct, police arrested Adam Woods, 27, and Dontate Cunningham, 26. Woods faces the same charges as Jeremih while Cunningham has been charged with defiant trespass,” the website reported.

It’s currently unknown if R&B singer Jeremih and his buddies are still in custody after their airport arrest. The Boombox reports that the trio are expected to hit the streets at some point in the very near future. Assuming, of course, that none of the fellas have any outstanding warrants that need addressing.

Although most people probably know Jeremih for his various musical endeavors, apparently the crooner has a tendency to cause trouble every once in a while. According to TMZ, Felton made headlines last month after causing a bit of mayhem at Fuddruckers.

Instead of sitting down for a nice hamburger at the aforementioned eatery in Billings, Montana, Jeremih and his crew decided to trash the joint. Once the singer finished tossing around bottles and delivering a beatdown to a defenseless a kitchen fryer, Jeremih and his buddies had caused approximately $700 worth of damage to the restaurant.

“Jeremih and his crew got p**sed after they started hitting on a cashier, who complained to her manager she felt uncomfortable. The manager asked them to move to the back — away from the employee — and they went nuts, grabbing the Fuddruckers mic and crying racism,” TMZ reported last month.

Are you surprised that “Don’t Tell ‘Em” singer Jeremih’s recent shenanigans at an airport ultimately led to his arrest?
