Leah Messer Unhappy With Custody Agreement
Leah Messer is not happy about this week’s custody hearing. On December 8, the Teen Mom 2 star and her ex-husband, Corey Simms, the father of her twin girls, Ali and Aleeah, appeared in court, where Simms was awarded with more time with the girls.
“Leah is upset with Corey and Miranda,” a source told Radar Online on December 12. “She didn’t want to lose any time with the girls.”
Although Leah Messer, who, as the Inquisitr reported, is accused of cheating on her current husband, used to have her daughters all week long, Simms and his wife, Miranda, filed for full custody months ago in hopes of getting more access to the twins. The filing didn’t sit well with Messer, who was seen breaking down to Dr. Drew during the Teen Mom 2 season five reunion special.
Now that the battle is over, Messer is devastated over losing time with Ali and Aleeah, and determined to avoid Simms and his wife at all costs. She’s even decided to throw her own birthday party for the girls when they turn 5 later this month. “There will be two different parties,” the source revealed.
As the Inquisitr reported earlier this week, Leah Messer and Corey Simms’ custody plan was officially changed on Monday.
“The Teen Mom 2 star, 22, and her ex-husband Corey Simms, 25, will abide by a shared parenting plan for their 4-year-old twins Ali and Aleeah,” Radar Online reported on Thursday. “The former couple had a ‘very amicable’ hearing in West Virginia’s Kanawha County Court on December 8, Simms’ lawyer Rusty Webb of The Webb Law Centre in Charleston tells Radar.”
One of the major issues brought up in court was Messer’s alleged failure to get Ali to her doctor’s appointments. As fans will recall, Messer’s daughter was diagnosed with a rare form of muscular dystrophy, so attending her doctor’s appointments and therapy sessions is extremely important.
“There will be a shared responsibility to get her to and from appointments,” Webb explained. “Both parents will be present for her therapy visits.”
Also speaking to Radar, Webb claimed Messer and Simms were amicable in regard to the new court order.
“They’re both very happy with the situation,” Webb alleged. “Everybody is getting along.”
As for Messer’s rumored affair, the man she reportedly hooked up with, Robbie Kidd, recently came forward with new allegations. In an interview with In Touch Weekly, Kidd came clean, alleging he and Leah Messer had sex in early October after weeks of secret phone conversations. “Afterward, she said, ‘Oh, what did we do?'” Kidd recalled.
