Jill Dillard Pays Tribute To The Duggar Sister She Never Got To Meet

Jill Dillard paid tribute this week to her lost sister, an unborn Duggar who died three years ago.

In 2011, Michelle Duggar announced that she was pregnant with what was to be her 20th child. But complications arose and Michelle ended up miscarrying. The Duggars revealed that the unborn girl was named Jubilee Shalom, and this week Jill Dillard paid tribute to her sister with a touching message.

Dillard posted a tribute to Instagram that read:

“3 years ago today Jubilee Shalom Duggar was born safe into the arms of Jesus! You are missed! …”the Lord gives and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” (Job1:21) #jubileeshalom”

The show of family support came after rumors surfaced that Jill Dillard was in a feud with her sister Jessa Seewald. The two had unfollowed each other on Twitter, leading to speculation that something had come between the normally close 19 Kids and Counting sisters.

But this week Jill and Jessa put the rumors to rest as they shared dinner together with their husbands, and mom-to-be Jill Dillard shared a picture of it on Instagram.

“[Jessa] and [Ben] are here for dinner! So fun to hang out with our siblings! #familydinner #19kids #beansandcornbread,” Jill wrote.

After their dinner together, Jill and Jessa joined their husbands for the “Duggar Family Christmas Recital” at the family compound. There the family performed for a small audience, with Jedidiah, Joy-Anna, and Jeremiah performing “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” on string instruments while Mandie Query joined Joy-Anna Duggar performed a piano duet called “Duet Fantasy on Jingle Bells.”

Jill Dillard and Jessa Duggar could soon have a new couple to share dinners with. Reports indicate that the Duggar parents are trying to set up daughter Jana with former NFL player Tim Tebow, though reps for the former Denver Broncos quarterback said the two had never met.
