2011 VGAs: Diablo III opening cinematic revealed [Video]

Blizzard was in attendance at the 2011 Spike VGAs tonight to reveal something new for Diablo III. Before you get all excited and think it’s a release date, unfortunately it isn’t – but what it is is nonetheless awesome.

Blizzard has released the opening cinematic for Diablo III, one that sets the stage for the nightmarish, apocalyptic war between the forces of Heaven and Hell that gamers will be playing their part in when Diablo III ships.. eventually.

Blizzard’s known for making outstanding cinematics for their games, and Diablo III‘s opening cinematic is certainly no exception. It’s a little on the brief side, granted, but there’s still plenty for you to take in to make the wait for an announcement of a Diablo III that much more difficult. Seriously, Blizzard. Come on!
