Chris Pratt Is The Greatest Dad In Hollywood Right Now

Chris Pratt says his best Hollywood moments has nothing on his little toddler Jack. Despite 2014 being his best career year yet, the Guardians of the Galaxy star thinks being a father is still the greatest thing that has happened to him.

Let’s all just remember that, this year, Pratt — who portrays a secondary character from Parks and Rec — became one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, when he lead the cast of Guardians last August, playing alongside Zoe Saldana and Vin Diesel. He is also set to join an adventure of paleontological proportions in his upcoming movie Jurassic World, where he gets the chance to play the lead in one of the most iconic sci-fi franchises ever made.

But none of that compares to Chris Pratt’s biggest achievement so far — being able to call his adorable 2-year-old kid, Jack Faris Pratt, “son.” Chris is lucky enough to be married to funny girl Ana Faris, and now that the two have an adorable toddler together, Pratt couldn’t be more thrilled.

Chris Pratt recently attended March of Dimes Celebration of Babies, according to Times, and shared his thoughts on fatherhood and what it all means to him.

“I’ve done all kinds of cool things as an actor — I’ve jumped out of helicopters and done some daring stunts and played baseball in a professional stadium, but none of it means anything compared to being somebody’s daddy. I made promises in that moment about what kind of dad I wanted to be and I just prayed that he’d live long enough that I could keep them.”

Jack Pratt has trumped everything Chris has worked for over the years; he has struggled as an actor, and according to the star himself, it’s all worth it. To Pratt, being a father is the best thing that has happened to him, and no career breakthrough can compare to the feeling of being able to proudly call yourself a dad.

In an industry where family times often suffer due to pressing career moments, Chris really handles himself incredibly well, juggling the demands of being a sought-after Hollywood figure with the pressures of becoming a dad. Jack, who entered the world nine weeks before his due date in 2012, met a few challenges when he was born, but proud papa Chris Pratt says Jack, now 2, is the strongest kid in the block.

Chris didn’t break into acting so easily, having lived in Hawaii as a homeless surfer dude for a few couple of years. Now that he’s one of the hottest stars in Hollywood right now, Chris Pratt shows that he has his priorities straight. Fatherhood first. Acting second.
