WWE TLC And Stairs: John Cena Title Shot In Danger

WWE’s Tables, Ladders, Chairs, and Stairs pay-per-view is Sunday, and the question is: Will John Cena lose his WWE World Championship opportunity at Brock Lesnar? That’s the stipulation on the table for Cena, as he squares off against Authority left over Seth Rollins in a Tables Match, according to Wrestlezone.

On last week’s Monday Night Raw, the now-returned Anonymous General Manager decreed that should John Cena lose his match against Rollins at the pay-per-view, he would lose his number one contender status. With the stipulation seemingly crowbarred into the currently thin angle between Cena and Rollins, one has to wonder if the plan isn’t to pull Cena away from a third showdown with Lesnar, if only temporarily. Rollins’ former Shield stable mate Roman Reigns is scheduled to return to the roster within a week’s time. Perhaps the stipulation was added as a means to insert Reigns into the matter to rekindle his feud with Rollins, which was temporarily shelved when Reigns was forced to undergo emergency surgery for an intestinal hernia some months back.

In what should be the main event of the WWE pay-per-view, Bray Wyatt faces off with the unstable Dean Ambrose in a Tables, Ladders, Chairs, and Stairs Match that is sure to be unfollowable. The WWE Intercontinental Championship is on the line, as Dolph Ziggler attempts to reclaim the gold against former Wyatt Family member Luke Harper, who won the title several weeks ago from Ziggler with help from the Authority’s J & J Security and Rollins.

The WWE Tag Team Championship will be defended as The Miz and stunt double Damien Mizdow defend against The Usos, who are looking to reclaim the titles. With the impending debut of NXT killers The Ascension looming on the horizon, it would seem to be a safe bet that the Usos regain the belts, perhaps setting off a Sandow face turn, and hopefully, a lengthy program with the Miz.

The card is rounded out with Ryback versus Kane in a Chairs Match, and Erick Rowan versus the Big Show in a Steel Stairs Match.

With such a short card, it should be expected that at least one unannounced match be added to the pay-per-view. After weeks of build up there has yet to be an announcement regarding the WWE Women’s Title, currently held by Nikki Bella. Also, could Adam Rose and The Bunny make an appearance?

WWE Tables, Ladders, Chairs, and Stars is available on pay-per-view, or via the WWE Network for just $9.99.
