Sarah Michelle Gellar On Freddie Prinze, Jr.’s Spinal Surgery: ‘He’s Not Learning How To Walk’

After a few days, Sarah Michelle Gellar has decided to speak out about her husband Freddie Prinze, Jr.’s spinal surgery. Prinze, Jr. has been very vocal about his healing process, which he has documented by posting photos to Twitter and telling fans he’s learning how to walk again.

Sarah, along with children Charlotte, 5, and Rocky,2, attended a Santa Secret Workshop in West Hollywood to support L.A. Family Housing. When asked how he’s doing, the actress was a bit cheeky. “Oh my god, you mean Freddie that’s like learning how to walk again?! My poor husband couldn’t make it.”

According to E! Sarah Michelle Gellar then took a moment to address Bill Horn, the organizer of the event, to explain how heartbroken her husband was about missing the event.

“By the way, he was coming, he was in tears. He was like ‘I promised Bill and Scout they’re so good to me, I have to be there.’ But he’s just so tired. I mean he did have spine surgery..’ A beat later she did reveal that her husband might have been exaggerating on his Twitter. “But he’s not learning how to walk.”

As the Inquisitr reported, Prinze took to Twitter to share his post surgery goals, often updating with photos and one liners.

Speaking more about Freddie Prinze, Jr.’s condition, his wife Sarah assured his fans that he’s doing well, and will be in action for the holiday season.

“He’s recovering. He’ll be cooking. I handle Thanksgiving, Christmas will be all him.”

No word on why Freddie needed spinal surgery in the first place, but we’re sure it’s only a matter of time before the 24 actor will open up about that.
