Elvis Presley Death Secrets Revealed

A documentary on Elvis Presley has revealed that he was a “heart attack waiting to happen.” A pathologist went on to explain that the singer’s horribly unhealthy diet led to his death.

The 42-year-old icon’s death in 1977 was inevitable according to Dr Richard Shepherd, a British forensic pathologist. Shepherd made these comments after being interviewed for Autopsy: The Last Hours Of Elvis, a documentary that aired on Channel 5 in the United Kingdom.

Elvis Presley was found face down in his bathroom at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, on the morning of August 16, 1977. He had collapsed on to his bathroom floor at around 7 a.m., all while his staff and fiancé were asleep.

He was eventually discovered in the afternoon by his fiancé, Ginger Alden. But attempts to resuscitate him failed, and he was pronounced dead at 3:30 p.m. later that day.

His death was brought on by his incredibly unhealthy lifestyle, which saw him take nine prescription drugs a day. His liver and heart were actually twice the size they should have been when he perished.

The Express reported that after examining all of the evidence supplied by the coroner/pathologist in the United States, Shepherd was able to make his assessment.

“Elvis was not in good shape. I started off thinking he had probably taken an overdose but it was heart disease and the size of his heart that really opened my eyes. What he was facing on that final night was truly awful. How he got to that state, I am really surprised. Without being too crude about it, here was someone who was going to die soon.”

Dr. Richard Shepherd, who provided evidence on Dodi Fayed and Prince Diana following their deaths, revealed that had Elvis Presley not dyed his hair on a regular basis, it would have been “snow white.”

Best Daily reported that the documentary made numerous other revelations surrounding Elvis Presley’s lifestyle before his death. The night before he died, Elvis is believed to have played tennis with his cousin, Billy Smith, who lived at Graceland, at around 4 a.m.

It was also alleged that Elvis’ daughter, Lisa-Marie Presley, and his ex-wife, Priscilla Presley, almost walked in on Elvis’ dead body. Ginger Alden managed to stop them entering, as Elvis’ father, Vernon, and other members of staff looked to assist the ailing icon.
