‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’ Filming Wraps In New Mexico

The filming of the blockbuster Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has wrapped in New Mexico, according to the film’s Director of Photography, Larry Fong.

Fong posted a short teaser on Instgram which nobody really can figure out. The clip shows a black sleeve of some sort with droplets of water hit against it and bounce in harmony. No music, no movement, aside from the elegant drops of water hitting the object.

The report comes courtesy of Henry Cavill Spain, one of countless sites reporting on our new Superman. The filming concludes seven months of intense work from cast and crew in locations including Detroit, Michigan, and Chicago, Illinois, aside from that of New Mexico, which was reportedly built to replace the one in Morocco after the latter was scratched, at the height of the Ebola scare.

We have seen many exciting behind-the-scenes photos from the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice filming, as director Zack Snyder used to cities he was shooting in as backdrop for many of his scenes. Detroit was the city Snyder stayed in for the longest period of time and there were several Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) sighting, though we never saw the actor in the much talked about Batsuit. We did get to see the new Batmobile, courtesy of Snyder on Twitter, as well as some outdoor sightings.

Local fans followed any and all details of the Batman v Superman production while the filming was going on in Detroit, and our good friend, The Bananadoctor, took that first pic of the Man of Steel himself, walking with his suit on set.

While Snyder filmed several important scene in the streets of Detroit, we really don’t know much about what they mean in the context of the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice plot, which the director has succeeded in keeping secret, despite all the sightings. Even though eager fans followed the production’s every move, Batman was never seen during the filming in Detroit, which was the setting for Gotham City.

When the production moved to Chicago and its vicinity, it was also difficult to keep things completely secret. The most exciting thing for fans was to see Henry Cavill suspended above the Windy City with a harness as he seemingly descended to rescue his love interest, Lois Lane (Amy Adams).

Now that the filming of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a wrap, the post-production work begins to get it ready for release in the U.S. on March 25, 2016. A long time to wait, but stay tuned for all the latest news on the mega blockbuster.
