Andrew Keegan: ’10 Things I Hate About You’ Star Creates His Own Religion

Andrew Keegan has gone from child star to religious guru.

The actor, famous for his part as the hunky love interest in 10 Things I Hate About You, has created his own religion called Full Circle, one that blends the arts with healing therapies.

The Full Circle website has a more complete description of just what the religion entails.

“Full Circle Venice is a non-denominational non-profit community-based center located in the heart of Venice, CA, known for its diversity, open-mindedness, and creativity. We offer an experiential environment where people can creatively expand their social relations and connect with other members of their community. We do this through live performances, art exhibits, film screenings, yoga and dance classes, workshops, forums and other special events.

Full Circle Venice honors all peaceful cultures and teachers for the unique and inspired contributions they have made to the world, at the same time recognizing that an infinite field of possibility remains in which we can responsibly, imaginatively, and freely co-create our future together. We are here to create an environment where people can be themselves and express their creativity within their community.”

The religion was laid out in detail in a story published in Vice, in which the author highlighted its outlandish aspects.

“When I visited the church, I was greeted at the door by a man who said his name was Third Eye. He quickly introduced me to the community pet Krishna, a giant talking parrot. I met the rest of the inner circle, who told me they believed I came through the ‘vortex’ created by Keegan’s energy.”

Andrew Keegan himself tried to describe the religion, but only seemed to make it more confusing.

“Synchronicity. Time. That’s what it’s all about,” he said. “Whatever, the past, some other time. It’s a circle; in the center is now. That’s what it’s about.”

Though he may be drawing skepticism, it appears that Andrew Keegan and his new religion Full Circle is gaining quite a following. The religion’s website has a slate of events, along with five employees and a six-person board of directors.
