Mama Joyce Will Stay Away From Funeral As Kandi Burruss And Todd Tucker Mourn Sharon Tucker’s Death

Todd Tucker and Kandi Burruss are one of the most popular couples on the Real Housewives of Atlanta reality TV show, and the sudden death of Sharon Tucker – mother of Todd – has sent shock waves through both reality stars and brought a reaction from her nemesis, Mama Joyce.

As noted by the Inquisitr, as soon as Todd and Kandi heard the news of Sharon’s stroke on Monday, they both flew from Atlanta to New York to be by her side, likely leaving Mama Joyce at home. Fans of the show became familiar with Sharon Tucker because of her cantankerous relationship with Mama Joyce, the gritted-teeth talking mother of Kandi Burruss. Mama Joyce often found fault with plenty of things surrounding Todd Tucker prior to his marriage to Kandi – and one of those things was Sharon, a woman whom Mama Joyce incorrectly dubbed a prostitute during one of their infamous arguments.

It’s due to the rocky relationship between Mama Joyce and Sharon Tucker that Mama Joyce will not be attending the funeral of Todd’s mother, reports TMZ. Mama Joyce says she regrets not mending their relationship.

Meanwhile, Todd has taken to his Instagram page to express his grief over his mother’s unexpected death.

“Today I lost my partner, my ride or die my best friend! I don’t know what to do? I’m lost! My heart hurts so much! She was a fighter, a warrior for her son! It was me and her against the world! She’s in a better place!! Mom I love you to death! Rest in peace!”

Kandi has also used her Instagram page to express her feelings about the loss of her mother-in-law.

“Today has been a tough day. Our family has suffered a terrible loss. Sharon was the best mother in-law! She was fun, energetic, loving, & caring. I loved how she liked to get up & go all the time. She would get you in check one minute & give you a hug the next minute. She still had a young spirit. It’s unbelievable that she’s gone. I’m so sad for @todd167 because they were so close… He talked to her every morning & all thru out the day, every day. It’s hard losing people that you love but when it’s out of the blue with no warning it just makes it that much harder…. I’m still in shock.”

Bravo TV dedicated a post to the memory of Sharon Tucker on their website, which includes thoughts and prayers from other RHOA cast mates, as well as video from a recent Watch What Happens Live appearance when Sharon shared how proud she was of Tucker.
