Teresa Giudice Suing Lawyer? ‘RHONJ’ Star Blames Him For Her Fraud

Reality star Teresa Giudice is reportedly blaming her lawyer, Jim Kridel, for her upcoming prison sentence.

In a new lawsuit that has been obtained by TMZ, Teresa Giudice claims that her lawyer was a slacker that did not meet with her before filing her bankruptcy documents.

The 42-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey star also claims in the documents that her lawyer was sloppy and did not bother to list her key assets when he filed — including her multiple bank accounts, rental property income and cars.

According to TMZ, Giudice believes that her lawyer and his “classic case of malpractice” played a major role in her being charged with bankruptcy fraud, which is why she will soon be heading off to prison to begin her 15-month sentence.

Due to the alleged case of malpractice, Teresa Giudice is suing her lawyer for a minimum of $5 million.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, rumors of Teresa Giudice receiving her own cooking show and a lucrative deal from Bravo after her prison sentence ends were false.

Further reports show that the Real Housewives of New Jersey might even go on a one-year hiatus until 2016 since reports claim that the studio executives are worried about if the show will still succeed without Teresa Giudice being there.

Teresa Giudice has been ordered to surrender herself to the prison in order to start her sentence no later than January 5. According to People magazine, Giudice also received two years of probation as part of her sentence.

In a statement made by the judge at the time of her sentencing, Teresa was initially going to walk away with just probation and not have to worry about going to prison at all. However, the judge changed their mind, believing that a period of confinement was necessary in her case.

“I don’t honestly believe that you understand or respect the law. I need to send a message. In the eyes of the law, it doesn’t matter who you are. There are consequences to pay.”

Her husband, Joe Giudice, was sentenced to serve 41 months, but will not begin his sentence until Teresa is released so that at least one parent will be able to stay home with their four daughters. After Joe has served his sentence, he will reportedly face “imminent deportation.”

TMZ reached out to Teresa Giudice’s lawyer for a comment in regards to her lawsuit against him. As of right now, they have not received a response.
