Kourtney Kardashian Pregnant And Nude In ‘DuJour Magazine,’ Says She Feels ‘So Comfortable’
A pregnant Kourtney Kardashian has followed the trail blazed by her younger sister Kim, posing nude in a magazine this week, but there are some major differences between the Kim Kardashian bare-all Paper Magazine photo spread, and the Kourtney photos in DuJour Magazine.
DuJour describes itself as a celebrity lifestyle magazine “where luxury lives.”
And indeed, for most women it would be a luxury to pose nude in a national magazine while heavily pregnant and, presumably, get paid for it. But unlike her sister, Kim, in Paper Magazine, whose nude shots were startlingly frank and bared everything in straightforward, brightly lit fashion, Kourtney Kardasian took a more subtle, underlit approach and is wearing at least something in each of the mostly PG-13 nude shots.
And of course, unlike Kim, who has been eager to show off her body following her first pregnancy, Kourtney Kardashian is now eight months pregnant.
There are three partially nude photos of the pregnant Kourtney in the DuJour Magazine spread. A gallery of all three images can be viewed at this link. While the pictures are not explicit, keep in mind that portions of Kardashian’s unclad body are visible in the photos.
While she says that her fiancé Scott Disick was shocked that she was not embarrassed to bare all while pregnant, the 35-year-old reality TV personality says that she is comfortable posing nude only because she is pregnant.
“I would never say never, but I don’t think so, no,” she said when asked by DuJour if she would consider a future nude shoot if she wasn’t pregnant. “What appeals to me is celebrating the shape of my body being pregnant and capturing that time in my life. I wanted to do something that felt authentic to me rather than being pushed in a certain direction by somebody else.”
She said that she was inspired to undertake the nude, pregnant photo session when the camera crew on the reality show that made her a star, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, remarked that she appeared “so comfortable just walking around naked and pregnant.”
“To me, nudity is not something to be ashamed of. I’m not embarrassed of my body,” the pregnant Kourtney Kardashian told the magazine. I’m at my best when I’m pregnant. It’s such an amazing feeling, the transformation that your body goes through. There’s something about that that’s so empowering and beautiful and I just really embrace it.”
