Veena Malik’s Nude Photo Causes Controversy; Model Says Photo Was Manipulated
The latest cover of FHM India shows Indian Model Veena Malik nude with the initials of Pakistan’s Intelligence Agency tattooed on her arm. The photo has caused an uproar in the conservative Indian community, but the controversial actress says that the photo was manipulated and that she never posed naked for FHM.
Malik told the Indian press agency:
“I have never posed nude. I have never done anything like that ever. My manager and legal team is looking into the matter. We will take legal action against them.”
But FHM India’s editor, Kabeer Sharma, says that Malik is just trying to get out of the way of the backlash. Sharma says that the photo was not altered and that she has proof. Sharma said:
“We have video footage of the shoot as well as emails from Veena about how she’s looking forward to the cover.”
According to the Daily Mail, Malik has spoken out against clerics in Pakistan who demand that woman should be covered at all times. Malik said:
“If a woman is cool with wearing a burqa, she should wear a burqa. If a woman, being a Muslim, wants to wear jeans, then she should wear jeans.”
Here’s a video of Veena Malik denying that she posed nude for FHM.
Muslim clerics have accused Malik of improper behavior, some have even called her a porn star, but Malik’s stance on women’s issues has won her many young liberal fans.
Do you think Veena Malik is backing down from the controversy with her latest magazine cover? Do you think she posed nude?
