Pose your fingers over your keyboard and prepare to shop until your thumb drops at Cyber Monday 2014 sales. From Best Buy to Amazon, from Wal-Mart to Staples, the biggest retailers are launching their super-sized sales until midnight. Get your ultimate guide to what to seek here, including some purring purchases at animal rescue organizations.

Are you in despair because you’re working today, and can only celebrate Cyber Monday after work, when some products might be sold out? Fear not. Wal-Mart has unveiled plans for the inaugural Cyber Monday Evening Edition, which calls for special prices on some products that are available only when office workers return home, reported the Washington Post.

Among those products with better prices later in the day are a Samsung 55-inch Ultra HD TV for $998 and the Hamilton Beach stand mixer for $24.

Amazon has decided to offer a different approach to Cyber Monday as well, designed to lure shoppers to return. The tactic calls for adding new Cyber Monday deals every 10 minutes all day long.

Some of the best Cyber Monday deals at Amazon are on tablets and televisions, according to ABC News. For example, the Fire HD 7 tablet is on sale for $109 in various colors and sizes, while a Sony 40-inch 1080p LED TV sells for $298.

But if you’re seeking a laptop because your baby ate yours (see below), Staples has a $100 savings on an Asus X205 laptop, which costs $149 on Cyber Monday. Staples also offers a $100 savings on a Dell 24-inch monitor, available for $99 online.

In the Cyber Monday history books, Best Buy ranks as the most aggressive presence, reports the Latin Times. The store is offering hefty discounts on televisions, such as a 50-inch LED 1080p Smart TV from Panasonic for $499.99.

You can pick up a deal on a tablet at Best Buy for $49.99, and smartphones like the the LG G3 and Samsung Galaxy S4 cost a buck. However, there’s a caveat with those phones: You must sign a two-year contract with a provider. Cameras also have reduced price tags.

Seeking something different on Cyber Monday? Some animal adoption organizations are turning the day into an opportunity to rescue a homeless shelter pet. The North Fork Animal Shelter, for example, is offering a Cyber Monday Adoption Event, reported Hamptons News.

Those who want to adopt a black cat or black dog will pay reduced adoption fees. Animal adoption organizations hope to use the traditional shopping day to point out that black-coated pets often are overlooked at shelters.

As the Inquisitr revealed, many animal rescue organizations also celebrated Black Friday this year with “dog-buster” deals and cat coupons. From tiny kittens to big-footed puppies, the groups are asking those who might opt for a pet store to consider a shelter pet instead.
