In a related report by The Inquisitr, Jada Pinkett Smith’s mother was shown off in a beach vacation photo that showed how she has managed to maintain her physique despite being 61 years old. Recently, Jada’s children gave an interview that “could make your head explode,” but Jada defends Willow and Jaden Smith, claiming that confident children are “scary” to critics.
When the shooting of Trayvon Martin occurred in 2012 many black celebrities voiced their opinions via social media when it came to the trial of George Zimmerman. But when it came to the Michael Brown shooting many of these same celebrities have mostly been silent. For example, celebrities like Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Oprah, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Jamie Foxx, Kanye West, and Will Smith did not say anything about the shooting incident for weeks even as the situation in Ferguson, Missouri turned ugly.
Back in August, Jada Pinkett Smith did have one comment to say about the Michael Brown shooting.
“An unarmed Michael Brown shot dead in the street by cops two days before leaving for college, and Robin Williams took his life. It’s real out here and so is all the pain that comes with it. May they both rest in peace.”
For Thanksgiving, Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith traveled to Jamaica to celebrate with family. On her Facebook page, Jada described her family’s vacation but also offered up a prayer for the Michael Brown family.
“I’m having Thanksgiving this year in the land of which my grandmother was born…Jamaica. I’m deeply grateful this Thanksgiving, but there will be prayer at my dinner table tonight for the Brown family, the family of Tamir Rice and all the men and women we have lost to violence.”
