Here’s The Promo For Tina Fey And Amy Poehler’s Third And Final Golden Globes Gig

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are getting set for the Golden Globes broadcast this January by lining up unique outfits by big name designers. At least, that is how the Saturday Night Live alumni put it in the newly-released promo for the show. What makes their style unique? Well, as Us Magazine quotes the comedians, a little bit of food and medical supply accessories.

Fey hinted she may be raiding her children’s closet before the big day.

“I will be wearing a Pierre d’Jambon romper with cheese and children’s ice skates.”

Poehler alluded to a trip to a Midwest hospital.

“I’ll be wearing an ER bandage dress with stilts by the Ohio stilt king.”

Poehler and Fey were a ratings success when they first hosted the Globes in 2013, and have been invited back the following two years. They drew 19.7 million viewers their first time out, the most in six years. Last year, when they had the audience laughing from the opening jokes to the end of the broadcast, Fey implied their relationship with the Globes could be never-ending. As Today reported at the time, Fey said they could keep going until they wear out their welcome.

“This is Hollywood. If something works, they’ll just keep doing it until everyone hates it.”

Despite the positive audience reaction, Poehler said last month the 2015 broadcast would be the last for her and Fey, at least for the time being.

“It’s the law of diminishing returns, which is why this is our last time…. Unless you want to be a perennial host, there’s nowhere to go but down!”

In the same interview, Poehler looked back on her own Golden Globe win — as best actress in a comedy series for Parks and Recreation — as no big deal.

“You think you really want it. You’re just like, ‘Give me that pudding!’ You just want to taste it. Then you realize, like everything else, it’s nice to be included at the table, but if you get the pudding, it doesn’t matter either way.”

In related Golden Globe news, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced Greer Grammer, daughter of Kelsey Grammer, would be the 2015 Miss Golden Globe. Past holders of the title include Rumer Willis, Sosie Bacon, and Dakota Johnson. The Miss Golden Globe is the offspring of a celebrity and hands out awards on the big night.

The 2015 Golden Globes air January 11 on NBC; nominees will be announced on December 11.
