Maisie Williams: ‘Game Of Thrones’ Character Arya Stark Taking Even Darker Turn In Season 5

Maisie Williams will see her character Arya Sark take an even darker turn in the upcoming Game of Thrones season, a new teaser indicated.

This week HBO released preview footage of her character that foreshadows her arrival in Braavos. Melisandre (Carice van Houter) tells Arya ominously, “I see a darkness in you,” and viewers then see the character kill her first man and brandishing Needle.

For those who need a bit of a refresher from the last season, Melisandre was delivering a dark warning to Arya when she said those words.

“I see a darkness in you,” she said. “And in that darkness, eyes staring back at me. Brown eyes, blue eyes, green eyes. Eyes you’ll shut forever. We will meet again.”

As the Hollwood Reporter pointed out, the line was prophetic as Arya has gone on quite a killing spree. The Game of Thrones spoiler now seems to indicate that there will be more bloodshed for Arya.

HBO appears to be using the short teaser video as a way to hook fans. Game of Thrones recently unveiled a new website, ThreeEyedRaven.com, that claims to give fans a chance to “receive visions of the future.” There is speculation that this is how HBO will eventually release the full Season 5 trailer.

Maisie Williams herself has been extending her work outside of Game of Thrones. She recently starred in the movie The Fallen, about a teenager living in an all-girls’ boarding school in the late 1960s. The 17-year-old actress is also listed as a star of the upcoming movie The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, which is still in the pre-production phase. She’s also rumored to be joining the cast of the post-apocalyptic movie The Last of Us.

Fans who want to see if the Game of Thrones spoilers come true for Maisie Williams and her character Arya Stark can tune in when the show returns in the spring of 2015.
