‘GTA V’ Receives Massive 1.14GB Title Update, Server Stability Put Ahead Of Online Heists

While fans are waiting on online heists missions to finally come to Grand Theft Auto V, Rockstar Games is currently more focused on removing bugs from the recently released Xbox One and PlayStation 4 editions of the hit open-world crime title. Taking a major step towards that goal, the developer announced the release of Title Update 1.04 for the PS4 earlier today on Rockstar’s official support website. The same update is also currently scheduled to go live on the Xbox One version of GTA V this Friday.

Title Update 1.04 is a massive patch that requires users to download 1.14GB of data. With such a large file size, some might expect the update to actually include new content to GTA V. However, the most recent patch only applies various fixes to further improve server stability when connecting to the GTA Online servers. Update 1.04, even with its large download size, is just the latest in a long line of stability patches that Rockstar Games has deployed for GTA V since the game launched on Xbox One and PS4 earlier this month.

In addition to working on fixing the online issues that users are encountering within the new generation versions of GTA V, the developer is also still striving to bring cooperative heist missions to the world of GTA Online. Fans shouldn’t take Rockstar Games’ current focus on addressing server issues as a sign that the team isn’t also still moving forward on their plans to launch multiplayer heists to GTA V. In fact, online heists are expected to be included in the next content update for GTA V, as the Inquisitr reported earlier this month. Those plans have not changed, so gamers can still expect to be performing online heists soon.

Not wanting to miss out on this weekend’s Black Friday savings, Rockstar Games also announced that they will be running their own Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale all weekend long. The sale will offer a 30% off discount on all physical merchandise from the Rockstar Warehouse. This includes clothing, lighters, and other collectibles based upon Rockstar Games’ many gaming franchises from GTA V to Red Dead Redemption. The sale begins on Friday and will run through Monday.

Grand Theft Auto V recently released on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The new updated editions of GTA V provide several graphical improvements over last year’s last-gen versions. Rockstar Games is also currently working on a PC release that is scheduled to launch in early 2015.
