Darren Wilson Deserves ‘A Medal,’ Claims Katie Hopkins

Katie Hopkins, a controversial columnist from England, has joined in the furious debate that has been raging ever since Darren Wilson was acquitted of any wrong-doing over the death of Michael Brown by insisting that the police officer should be given “a medal.”

Hopkins took to Twitter to make her remarks, staunchly defending Darren Wilson for his part in Michael Brown’s death.

Various users then leapt upon Hopkins’ remarks, with some going on to defend her comments while others addressed the fact that she had simply made them to get attention.

One Twitter user wrote, “Oh dear Katie, I think you are a troubled lady,” while another then echoed this sentiment by adding, “Awwwwww attention seeking again.”

Some users supported Katie Hopkins though. One wrote, “Congratulations to the officer for his actions against a violent thug,” while another then noted, “You say the truth what other people are feeling but won’t say!”

Katie Hopkins even took to her Twitter page earlier today to add to her comments.

Katie Hopkins, who resides in England, over 5,000 miles away from Ferguson, where the repercussions of the jury’s decision not to press charges against Darren Wilson are truly being felt, has a penchant for making comments that sways of the general public don’t agree with.

In the past, Katie Hopkins has rallied against anyone who is obese, calling them lazy, while she has declared that she judges her children’s classmates based upon their names. She has also had numerous feuds with various British celebrities including Lily Allen and Peaches Geldof, while she even referred to Palestinians as “filthy rodents.”

Katie Hopkins has also been accused of simply making her controversial remarks in order to make money appearing on various programs across the media. She insists though that she is simply a “conduit for truth,” and only says what other people are too scared to say.
