Olsen Twins Weird And Expensive Christmas List Will Leave You Going ‘Ho Ho — Huh?’

In case you were really wondering what you could get Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen for Christmas — no worries. The Olsen twins have created a list of Christmas gifts they would love to see under their tree, and as long as you have lots and lots of money and strange taste, you’ll be totally fine.

And when you are the Olsen twins, you don’t just mail your wish list off to Santa. Instead, it gets published by Elle magazine.

To make Christmas shopping for the twins a little easier, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen kept their list to one store — their very own the Row, a new flagship store located on Melrose Place, in Los Angeles. And since the twins own it, it’s like you are gifting them twice when you purchase a present. And even though every single item on the twins’ Christmas list is “price upon request,” the store sells tank tops at $250 and fishermen sweaters at $4,000, so one can assume that the items that are priced upon request are probably jaw-droppingly expensive.

Some of the items on the twins’ Christmas list seem reasonable. The cashmere scarf seems like a great gift to give anyone, but according to ET, a plain gray cashmere scarf from the Row retails for about $750. It’s uncertain whether or not stripes cost extra. The scarf is followed by the suggestion of a handmade Enzo Bonafe belt. The next item on the twins’ list is a deck of vintage Cartier playing cards. The cards come in a beautiful red box, accented with gold, and would make a beautiful gift for someone who loves poker, but probably aren’t recommended for a family game of Old Maid.

One item topping their list is a rare, vintage Van Cleef lighter. On eBay, one such lighter is listed for sale at $5,799.

And if you need something to light on fire with the rare, vintage lighter, the next on the list is something called “Palo Santo Smudge Stick Bundle.” It’s literally a bundle of sticks tied together with some twine. It almost seems like a take on the old “bundle of switches in the stocking” story, but apparently, the smudge sticks are used for healing and cleansing purposes, and to consecrate a space. The wood comes from the bark of the Palo Santo tree, also known as “holy wood,” and the wood is only collected from fallen branches, so that no living tree is harmed.

“We picked pieces that could be purchased for both men and women,” Ashley Olsen explained of their collection of Christmas items.

“The holiday season can be hectic,” Mary-Kate adds. “We wanted to create a peaceful space for our clients to do all of their holiday shopping at once.”

The Olsen twins’ list isn’t the only celebrity Christmas list to make the news — apparently Suri Cruise’s specific Christmas list is causing mom Katie Holmes no end of stress. But even this year’s list has to be better than Suri’s previous Christmas list that totaled around $130,000, which makes that Van Cleef lighter sound like chump change.
