Justin Bieber Allegedly Had $358 Court Bill Paid By ‘Mystery Person’

It’s alleged a mystery person paid Justin Bieber’s $358 court bill before a deadline which would have triggered the attention of collection officers.

The 20-year-old incurred the bill after his DUI case ended earlier this year. It resolved with the star pleading guilty to careless driving and resisting arrest in a Miami court (through his lawyers), after he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in January.

Bieber was reportedly ordered to pay the court bill on August 13, with a two-month window for payment, according to the Daily Mirror.

The UK tabloid claims the singer would have been chased by a collections department if he failed to pay by November 13, but the bill was allegedly paid by a mystery donor within days of that date.

Inevitably, the newspaper has sensationalized the lack of information about who paid the court cost bill. In its report, it was implied that it could have been paid by a random fan, as if they would know the details of when a reported deadline was due.

It’s entirely possible the $358 bill payment was made by Bieber’s accountants or assistant on behalf of the star, and the non-identification of the donor may be due to data protection.

The tabloid claimed a source noted, “Justin would have had debt collectors banging on his door and there was a chance his licence would be taken away from him, which would have been ridiculous, as he clearly has no problems covering the cost.”

“Nobody knows who it was who paid the bill,” the purported source added.

Bieber also paid a $50,000 donation to a youth charity as part of plea deal terms in his DUI case.

This news, if it can be called that, comes days after Forbes announced Justin topped their highest-earning celebrities under the age of 30 list, after raking in an estimated $80 million between June 2013 and June 2014. The “Baby” singer’s net worth is estimated to be north of $230 million.

However, Bieber has made dents into that figure after successive legal cases.

In November, it was reported the singer paid $80,900 restitution after a court order to pay for damages after egging the home of his former neighbor in January.

Previously Justin paid a $10,700 bill to German customs after bringing a monkey into the country without the necessary paperwork or vaccinations. The sum covered costs for the monkey’s medical care and welfare at a German shelter.

A representative for Bieber declined to comment on the alleged court cost payment by the unnamed donor.
