Janel Parrish: ‘You Were My Trophy,’ Ready To Get Serious?

Actress Janel Parrish may not have walked away from the Dancing with the Stars finale with the Mirror Ball trophy.

However, she just might be leaving the competition with a serious relationship instead!

Shortly after being told that she would receive third place when the results of the competition were revealed, Janel Parrish had a special message for her dancing partner and rumored real-life love interest that spoke volumes.

“You were my trophy in the entire season.”

That was not all that the 26-year-old Pretty Little Liars actress had to say about Val Chmerkovskiy. During a package, Parrish had a chance to fully open up and even more about how she felt about leaving the show and saying “goodbye” to Val.

“Val, I really have grown to love you so much as a person. I’m going to miss you and I love dancing with you. I hate goodbyes but I’m not going to say goodbye to you because I know I’m going to see you again.”

Rumors have circulating for quite some time now about Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy being able to heat things up off the dance floor, which made their performances on the dance floor even hotter and more intense.

Public displays of affection. Attending parties together. Intense chemistry on the dance floor that many of the other competing duos simply did not have throughout the season. The list can go on and on.

Hollywood Life reported that friends of Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy were initially very concerned that the two would separate after the show was over – leading to heartbreak. Further reports stated that Janel Parrish had fallen in love with Val, but he simply did not return the same feelings.

However, Val Chmerkovskiy squashed those rumors during an interview with Dancing with the Stars hosts Erin Andrews and Tom Bergeron when he discussed his plans for Janel since the season is now over.

“I’m going to miss dancing with Janel, but I’m finally going to get a chance to get to know her outside these crazy circumstances, so I’m excited.”

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Derek Hough jokingly stated that winning fourth place is the next best thing to winning first place instead of placing second or third.

However, now that it seems as if Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy might be taking their relationship to the next level, perhaps winning third place is not as bad as Derek thought.
